(Airman 2nd class) My job title was Airframe Repaiman, I was transfered to the airport and was part of the 90 CAM. My family and I would love to come and visit once again. We live in Idaho. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about them, or where I could find infromation on them. They don't all look like they were taken in the base area - is there a reason F.E. We had the privileged to live in Quarters 22, and despite the all nite clanking of the old heating system - leading some guests to believe my Quarters were haunted, it was truly an honor to occupy such a home on a base with such a rich history. Criswell was in the Air Force but not sure is this was his or his brothers. I have a uncle Jack E. Criswell that was serving in the Air Force at that time but not sure if he is in here if so where is he in the photo.I would like to know what he did there. He was killed that same month on April 14,1955 in a automobile accident in Pennsylvania,would love to know if he was alive when photo was taken.If anyone has information on this I would appreciate it greatly.Sincerly Debbie J. I was a Convair Astronautics Tech Rep at WAFB on the Atlas D Series missiles. I was there during activation and after turnover to the AF. I was locked up at Site 1 NW of Cheyenne during the Cuban Missile Crisis when the AF was at Defcon 2. I noticed that your description of the Atlas missile skin thickness was wrong. It is stated as 0.1 to 0.4 in. It was more like 0.012 to 0.038 in. It was monocoque construction.
